 SMART TILES WARRANTY

 

Our Smart Tiles peel and stick tiles will remain securely attached to your wall for as long as you desire, that's our promise!

If by any chance a Smart Tiles were to present a defect, we will replace it after assessing the situation and according to the following conditions:

  • Provide proof of purchase (such as an invoice or a receipt)
  • Provide the batch number*

 

This warranty also covers any potential design or manufacturing defects.

 

For the warranty to be applicable, the following conditions apply:

  • The claim must comply with the terms specified in our Terms and Conditions under the "Warranty" paragraph.
  • The installation surface matches the surfaces specified by Smart Tiles (see FAQ).
  • The installation surface has been properly prepared in accordance with the prerequisites provided by Smart Tiles (see FAQ).
  • A period of three (3) weeks has been respected between the last paint layer of the installation surface and the application of the Smart Tiles.
  • The installation has been done when the Smart Tiles are at room temperature (18°C to 35°C – 65°F to 95°F).
  • The installation has been done in a room with a room temperature of 18°C to 35°C – 65°F to 95°F.
  • The Smart Tiles are not directly exposed to steam, nor in direct contact with a heat source, nor submerged in water. For example, Smart Tiles should not be installed in a sauna or fireplace.
  • If the Smart Tiles are installed behind a stove without a protective panel or metal cover, a space of 20 centimeters (8 inches) has been left in accordance with the installation prerequisites.
  • The Smart Tiles are positioned to avoid any contact with open flames in accordance with the installation prerequisites.
  • The Smart Tiles are not exposed to a temperature exceeding 49°C (120°F).
  • A space of 6 centimeters (2 inches) has been always maintained between your Smart Tiles and a heat source such as a toaster oven.
  • When maintaining the Smart Tiles, Smart Tiles recommendations have been followed, namely the use of a mild non-abrasive product and under no circumstances strong cleaners or chemicals.

Lifetime Warranty Against Manufacturing Defects

If a panel presents a manufacturing defect, we commit to replacing it — after evaluation in accordance with the following conditions:
A valid proof of purchase must be provided;
The panel must have been installed according to our guidelines and under the recommended conditions.

For the warranty to apply, the following conditions must be met:

  • The installation surface matches the materials specified by Smart Tiles ([see FAQ]).
  • The installation surface was properly prepared, in accordance with Smart Tiles’ prerequisites ([see FAQ]).
  • A minimum of three (3) weeks must have elapsed between the application of the final coat of paint and the installation of Smart Tiles panels.
  • The panels were installed at room temperature (between 18°C and 35°C / 65°F and 95°F).
  • Installation took place in a room with an ambient temperature between 18°C and 35°C (65°F to 95°F).
  • Panels are not directly exposed to steam, in direct contact with a heat source, or submerged in water. For example, they must not be installed in a sauna or fireplace.
  • If installed behind a stove without a protective panel or metal cover, a clearance of at least 20 cm (8 inches) was maintained, in accordance with installation guidelines.
  • Panels are installed in a way that avoids contact with open flames.
  • Panels are not exposed to temperatures exceeding 140°C (284°F).
  • A minimum distance of 6 cm (2 inches) must be maintained at all times between the panels and any heat source, such as a toaster oven.
  • During cleaning, Smart Tiles’ care recommendations were followed, including the use of mild, non-abrasive products, and no use of harsh cleaners or chemicals.

The warranty excludes any shade or color variations and is limited to the replacement of defective goods or a refund of the purchase price paid, at the sole discretion of Quinco & Cie Inc.

Defects or product non-conformities must be reported by the buyer within ten (10) days of discovery, along with a description of the issue and proof of purchase.
